Costume Designer and Costumier
Sarah is a freelance Costume Designer with a diverse background spanning Film, Television, Theatre, and Live Events. In addition to her design work, she is an experienced Assistant Costume Designer, Costume Supervisor, and Costume Buyer

In 2022, Sarah was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for her role as Assistant Costume Designer on Bridgerton Season 2, in the category of Outstanding Period Costumes in a Television Series
​
Since 2018, she has also served as a Visiting Lecturer on the MA Theatre Design course at Wimbledon College of Arts, where she teaches the Working With module focused on Costume Supervision

​Costume design has been Sarah’s life-long passion. Her journey began as a child, sketching costume ideas in the backseat of the car during rainy camping holidays. That early love for storytelling through clothing led her to study Performance Costume at Edinburgh College of Art, followed by an MA in Theatre Design at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School

She began her career as a Costume Maker, and went on to spend eight years working in theatre as a Set and Costume Designer, Associate/Assistant Designer, and Costume Supervisor in theatre. Her work has taken her to leading UK and international venues including Shakespeare’s Globe, The RSC, The National Theatre, Wales Millennium Centre, The Royal Lyceum (Edinburgh), Oxford Playhouse, Salisbury Playhouse, Royal & Derngate, and The English Theatre Vienna, as well as with award-winning touring companies such as Kneehigh, Selladoor and Art Angel

Since 2017, Sarah has worked as an Assistant Costume Designer on a range of high-end television series and feature films, including: Mary & George (Hera Pictures / Sky Studios, 2023), Shardlake (Disney+, 2023), Magic Mike’s Last Dance (Warner Bros., 2022), Bridgerton: Season 2 (Shondaland / Netflix, 2022), Becoming Elizabeth (The Forge / Starz 2021), The Gallows Pole (BBC, 2021), Cinderella (Sony Pictures / Columbia, 2020), The North Water (See-Saw Films / BBC Two, 2019), Cursed (Netflix, 2018) and Das Boot (Sky Atlantic, 2018)

She also works as a Costume Buyer, with recent credits including: The Thomas Crown Affair (Amazon MGM Studios, 2025), The Roots Manoeuvre (Amazon MGM Studios, 2025) and The Last of Us (HBO, 2023)
